Research Summary: Reproductive behavior and life cycle events of P. insularumwarrant special consideration and research. Little information exists about the life cycle patterns of P. insularum, even though this data would provide very helpful information for species management. Through a combination of approaches, I ideally want to determine: (1) What factors promote hatching survivorship (2) the age and size of both males and females at the time they begin to reproduce; (3) The relative size of first clutches; and (4) Hatching efficiency of first clutches. Several of my interests may take longer than I have in the lab but I hope to get things started.

Where I've been and Where I'm going:
I spent Spring of 2011 working in the lab and helping out on projects and also took Invertebrate Ecology. Now, during my senior year, I .... After that....
