True or False: Happiness Equates to Success???

German Philosopher Albert Schweitzer wrote that success was not the key to happiness. Instead, he believed that happiness represented the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.

In our more is better world, does this mantra hold true? Questions still remains whether happiness can be generally defined and/or quantified or whether the concept of happiness exists as an amorphous phenomenon subject to personal constructs. Anne Frank wrote that everyone lives with the objective of being happy. Yet, she also observed that our lives are all different but still curiously the same.

Together with my Paideia cohort, we will explore how to try to consciously steer ourselves toward happiness amidst the push and pulls of everyday life.
