The Video-Recording Equipped Seminar Classroom is located on the third floor of the Olin Building. This classroom provides the Communications faculty with a facility to videotape student oral presentations.
The Communications faculty with offices in the Olin Building:
A remote-controlled video camera mounted at the back of the seminar room records an in-class performance onto a video cassette recorder located at the instructor console. The tape may be viewed by the entire class on a 27" TV Monitor mounted on the wall at the front of the room. The monitor can also be used to show programs previously recorded on videotapes.
The room is connected to the disributed television (DTV) system for access to cable televison or satellite broadcasts.
The 27" TV monitor and Video Cassette Player.
A lecture series given in The Olin Forum can be captured on the remote video camera at the rear of the Forum and patched into the DTV system and viewed real-time on the monitor in this seminar room as a closed-circuit broadcast.
