Legally Blonde

Legally Blonde (2001), is about a beautiful blonde sorority queen by the name of Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon). She is a girly and stylish sorority president, majoring in fashion merchandising. She is seriously in love with her boyfriend, Warner Huntington III (Matthew Davis), who will be attending Harvard University's School of Law. She expects him to propose to her, instead he breaks up with her. Desperate to win him back, she studies for the Law School Admission test (LSAT), and follows him to Harvard. While at Harvard, Elle's fellow classmates look down on her and view her as a "dumb" blonde, Warner is engaged to another woman, Vivian Kensington (Selma Blair), and her only friend is Paulette (Jennifer Coolidge), her manicurist.

When Elle realizes people will never take her seriously, she decides to work harder. She is chosen for an internship with where she will help defend Brooke Taylor-Wyndham (Ali Larter), a famous fitness instructor accused of murdering her billionaire husband. While working the internship, Elle and Emmet (Luke Wilson) begin to create a new friendship. During the trial, Elle exposes that Chutney, the daughter of the murder victim, lied about that day during her testimony. Chutney admits to accidentally shooting her father because she thought he was Brooke, whom she hated for marrying him at such a young age.

After winning the trial and proving Brooke's innocence, Warner tries to reconcile with Elle but she rejects him. Elle graduated with high honors, was the class-elected speaker at the ceremony, and has been invited into one of Boston's best law firms. Vivian is now Elle's best friend and has called off her engagement with Warner. Emmett has started his own practice, is now Elle's boyfriend, and will propose to her. Paulette, the manicurist, has married a deliveryman and is expecting a baby girl to be named after Elle.
