Facebook has the
second highest number of users in the world (behind YouTube)
and is the most predominant social networking site (Janusz
125). Also, with more than 10 billion pictures, Facebook has
become the largest photo site on the Web (Summers
Newsweek.com, Beaver Facebook.com). Facebook use among
college students is a very interesting research considering
that in 2006 about 91% of college students had sites (Pempek
et. al 228). This website will show a discourse analysis of
college student Facebook profile pictures, especially on the
connections between pictures and comments made on people's
profile pictures. In this, I will discuss Facebook has
integrated into mass culture.
