I have volunteered in many capacities with
the Girl Scouts USA,
especially with Troop 915 until 2003, then with Troop 1167 2003-2004, in the Red Poppy Service Unit of the
Lone Star Girl Scout Council.
For instance, I have been
- the Troop Cookie Coordinator since the Fall of 1998
- the driver to and from many functions
- an assitant to the leader
- co-leader
- treasurer
- a speaker/teacher for Girl Scout sessions, including
- teaching Juniors Power Point for a Technology Badge and
- bringing them to Southwestern University to participate
in the Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration
- guiding Brownies through (pre-determined) web surfing, internet safety, and pre-selected games
- a CPR and First Aid certified safety-wise adult
