| The previous analyses have described the similarities and
differences between males and females from the Victorian Era to the
Modern Age. I have examined both the gender roles and the sexual
characteristics that are attributed to each gender separately. As I
have shown, some of these roles and characteristics have remained
true throughout the decades and can still be seen in people today
and are depicted in the media. Others, however, have faded into the
past and are viewed only as pieces of history. |
I hope I didn't ruin any of the story lines for anyone who
hasn't seen them yet. And please understand that The Vampire
Diaries is an ongoing television series and, as such, the characters
are constantly evolving. Because of this inevitable development,
the characteristics described in this paper may not be wholly
functional in the future. |
