The Girls Next Door: Psychoanalysis, Audiencing and Discourse Analysis

"The Girls Next Door" is a popular reality television show which premiered in 2005, and has had continued success through five seasons, with a sixth season in the making. The show chronicles the lives of the three women living full-time at the Playboy Mansion as Hugh Heffner's (the founder of Playboy) girlfriends. This website will serve to study and analyze the show through psychoanalysis, audiencing and discourse analysis as discussed by Gillian Rose in the book, "Visual Methodologies."
