Capturing a moment in time with a single shot. People in public places make them the models for a candid image. Documentary photography meant to capture the poor, oppressed and marginalized in an attempt to inspire change. It usually pictured the powerless and gets the audience to respond with a call for action. Street photography differed in that it wants to show life as marvelous, a glimpse into a moment we are meant to relate and smile at.
