Visuality is defined by 'how we see, how we are able, allowed, or made to see, and how we see this send and the unseeing therein (Rose)' An image is redefined under three categories, site of production, site of image, and site of audience. Under each site there are three aspects, or modalities, that develop understanding: social, technical, and compositional.
