Photography today has changed greatly. The way it is created, viewed, and shared effects the way it is seen. Digital cameras have altered the meaning of an image. Today when 1000 shots can be taken and viewed without having to spend a single cent, the thought of an image doesn't exist to the same extent. Images are taken in color and then converted to black and white if so desired. Then this image is printed out on a printer, not developed in a lab--if the image is printed out at all. The technology of today has altered so much. When these methods are employed, much of what had created the meaning is lost. Photography has become pop culture itself. It has become common. The idea of capturing everyday life, is an everyday thought. However, many of the images are posed: a group of friends get in a picture together, or even just a shot of the party that they are at. But there is no intention behind the image, no thought to what is being taken. That is because if the image doesn't turn out right, it can be deleted without a second thought.
